Biography

James was born in 1892. He is the son of Martin Slattery and Margaret Leehive.

James worked as a conductor for the New York Central Railroad. He retired in 1962, having worked for the railroad for 49 years.[1]

James J. Slattery lived at 64A Rhobella Drive, Poughkeepsie, when he died Tuesday, 6 September 1977, at St. Francis Hospital. His funeral was Friday, 9 September 1977, from the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home to St. Mary's Church for a mass of Christian burial. He was buried at St. Peter's Cemetery.[1]
