Hello John, the England Project has changed the way that "Category:England Project" is used, from identifying England Project Members to a category for the England Project Free Space Pages and admin pages.

I would therefore be very grateful if you would remove "Category:England Project" from your personal profile. Please contact me if you have any questions about this.

Many thanks, Jo, England Project Leader

Hi John,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Hi John,

I’m Steven, coordinator of the Categorization Project. Please have a look at the revamped Categorization Project page, specifically about the new team approach. Members will be now be part of the Maintenance Team. Project Liaisons and leaders will be involved in the Vision and Collaboration team.

Please contact me within the next week to let me know if you would like to remain an active member of the project. If I don’t hear back from you I will assume you no longer want to be a part of the Categorization Project.

Hi John

I’m the new Project Coordinator for the England Project. I am contacting you, as there have been some recent changes to the project which we are keen to bring to your attention. Please look at the England Project page for more information on the changes and the ways members are able to actively contribute moving forward. Once you have considered how you would like to participate, please contact either myself or Susie to let us know. We can then list your involvement, help you join the Google group forum for England, and give you any other help you may need to get going. If we don’t hear back from you we’ll assume you do not wish to be a part of the England Project for the time being. We really hope you will join the team! Gillian

Hi John, I see that the GEDCOM you loaded the other day has led to some "confusion" with the Current Last name field for the married women included. Do you need any help in cleaning these up?

Regards John

Thanks John, hope I can fill the big shoes of my predecessors.

Hi John, Thanks for your message and your kind words. As the England project is a sub project of the UK one it does not have a separate badge. You already have the UK project badge. Thanks for adding your name to the list of participants for the England Project.

Welcome to the Categorization Project! Be sure to check out the Categorization project page to see some of what we do, our To-Do lists, and please add the categorization tag to your G2G feed. We also use a google email list where changes to structure, ideas, and anything categorization is discussed-please join us there, too. Thanks for joining us!
