When William and Ann's daughter Mary was baptised in 1816 William is described a Mariner, but then when son Richard was baptised in 1815, William was a Rigger at Dock. This occupation continues when Ann was baptised in 1818, John was baptised in 1820 through the remainder of children.^[1]

I would have expected to find William in the Stoke Damerel Churchyard in Devonport, but I'm not getting a result in their database. Was he a Non-Conformist? Unless his headstone has become illegible :- 3522/13/10 Electronic record: Photograph, headstone, surname [Bree? ] 2009^[3]
