William Scott Sloan was born on the 7th of September, 1875 in Crosshill Townland, County Antrim, Ireland to William Sloan and Catherine Sloan née Scott.[1]
In 1901, William lived in Crosshill with his parents William and Catherine, and his sisters Helen and Margaret. He worked as a shirt and collar cutter in a shirt factory.[2]
William married Caroline Barbour in 1902.
In 1911, William lived in Crosshill with his parents William and Catherine, his wife Caroline, and their children Catharine, William Albert, and James Allen. He was a manager at a shirt factory. [3] The same year, William, with his wife and children, immigrated to Canada.
In 1921, William lived at 1228 18th Avenue East in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with his wife Caroline and their children Catharine, William Albert and James Allen. He worked as a cutter in a clothing factory.[4]
William passed away on the 11th of July 1938 in Vancouver at the age of 62 years.[5]
