Eleanor was age 21 and residing in the home of her parents Joab and Rhoda Sloan in the 1850 census for Greenup County, Kentucky. [1]
She is probably the same person as Ellen Sloan found living in the household of George W. Sloan in Jackson County, Ohio in the 1870 census. George Sloan's household included two females: Virginia Sloan age 20, b VA and Ellen Sloan, age 34, b KY who was listed as a domestic servant. [2]
