Richard married Martha Denmark in Bulloch County, Georgia. After their marriage they moved to Madison, Florida. In one record, he is listed as W. Richard and on FAG, he is listed as William Richard. Variations of the spelling of his last name include Slone and Sloan. He is found in the 1880 Greenville, Madison, Florida US Federal Census and is not found so far after that date.
