Humphrey Small was born on 13 June 1787 in Limington, Maine[1]. His parents were Henry Small and Elizabeth (Dam) Small[2].
He married Sarah Libby on 21 January 1813 in Limington[3]. They had nine children, all born in Limington except the last, born in Cornish[4]:
1. Eleanor Worthley, born 28 Aug 1814; died 1826
2. James Libby, born 3 Sep 1815
3. Mary Libby, born 21 Dec 1817
4. William Pitman, born 7 Jan 1820; died young
5. Rebecca Mitchell, born 25 Jan 1822
6. Lewis Frederick, born 29 Mar 1824
7. Abigail Black, born 20 Feb 1827; married 1st Bennett Pike, 2nd Joab Black
8. Henry Warrington, born 4 Apr 1829
9. Lauriston Ward, born 9 Jun 1832
Humphrey passed away on 17 March 1863 in Cornish, Maine[5].
