Biography
Elizabeth "Betsey" Small was born on 18 November 1789 in Limington, Maine. Her parents were Henry Small and Elizabeth (Dam) Small[1].
She married Arthur Bragdon on 7 July 1808 in Limington[2]. They had eleven children[3]:
- 1. Mary, born 14 Nov 1807; died 1838
- 2. Sewall, born 7 May 1810; died 1830
- 3. William, born 1 Jun 1812; married Dorothy Cobb
- 4. Issachar, born 28 Aug 1814; married Louisa Black
- 5. Josiah, born 8 Mar 1817
- 6. John Kimball, born 3 Dec 1819; married Esther Brown
- 7. Edmund, born 11 Sep 1821; died 1840
- 8. Elizabeth, born 18 Aug 1826; married Sylvester Boothby
- 9. Elvirah, born 22 Oct 1827; died 1844
- 10. Sewall, born 11 Mar 1830; died 1854
- 11. Loren, born 22 Oct 1822; died 1856
Betsey passed away on 27 January 1855 in Limington[4].
