Biography

Catharina Johanna Elizabeth Smit (1854–1916)[1] daughter of Lourens Erasmus Smit & Catharina Johanna Elizabeth Robbertse. In 1872 she married Jacob Abraham Brümmer, and they had 8 daughters together:

  1. Catharina Johanna Elizabeth (1874-1959)[2], born at Sterkstroom, married Frederik Francois Heuser (-1929), 9 children
  2. Anna Elizabeth Jacoba (1876-1909)[3], born at Barkly East, married Willem Petrus Erasmus, 1 daughter Johanna Jacoba Erasmus
  3. Magdalena Maria (1877)[4], born at Barkly East
  4. Anna Cornelia (1881)[5], born at Barkly East, married Greyling
  5. Aletta Dorothea Regina (1883-1958)[6], born at Barkly East, married Jacobus Adriaan Johannes Reynders (-1954)
