DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Maria by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Maria:

Smith-4230 and Smit-4435 appear to represent the same person because: Both profiles represent the girl who married Abraham Teerpenning. Smit is the LNAB determined from the baptism record that's identified as hers. That record was indicated on the findagrave memorial, and since she and Abraham named a son William, the father being named Willem is consistent.

After spending some time researching her, I'm going to adopt both profiles and complete the merge. Although she's part of a New Netherland family by marriage, I think she's probably a Palatine child, so I'm not adding her to the New Netherland project.
