Mrs. Elizabeth Leah Hayes passed away at her home in Georgetown on Sunday, May 14, Mothers Day, following a short illness. Mrs. Hayes was born in Farmington, Utah February 28th, 1877, and was married to Joseph W. Hayes in 1894. The following children survive her: Frank Smith, Lilburn, Wilford Hayes, Lillas Johnson and Boyd Dimick of Georgetown, Mrs. Evva Dalrymple of Wardboro. Milburn Hayes of Jackson, Wyoming, Mrs. Maud Corbett of Bancroft and Mrs. Lillian Phelps of Montpelier. Other survivors are three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Joseph Sparks of Nevada, Mrs. Jessie Seizmore of Rupert, Mrs. Albert Bacon of Georgetown, Will Smit of Boise and Byron Smit of Farmington, Utah: also fifteen grand-children. Funeral services were held from, the Georgetown Chapel Wednesday at two o clock and interment made in the Georgetown Cemetery. Opening prayer was by Christian Sorenson and two songs by the choir, "Sometime We'll Understand" and " Shall We Meet Again", speakers were Robert Schmid, President Ed C. Rich, Silas Wright and W. W. Clark; duet "Sometime Somewhere", Louise Peterson and Ella Clark. The closing song was "Farewell All Earthly Honor", services were closed by W. W. Clark and the grave dedicated by Elder Edward Corbett. The arrangements for the services were made by F. M. Williams.
