Biography

Felix Smith was a shoemaker who married Susannah McKinlay on 18 January, 1862. He is listed as deceased on his son Alex's 1911 marriage license

Felix left for New York (in steerage class, probably about £5) on SS Dacian (Capt James Laird) on 15 May 1869 and arrived in NY on 31 May 1869.

(SS DACIAN, at only four years old, wrecked on the coast of Nova Scotia on April 9th 1872.)
