DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:
Smith-100802 and Smith-100559 appear to represent the same person because: Same vitals and same wife. Please merge Smith-100802 into Smith-100559. Thank you!
I don't believe Joseph Smith-100559 was the son of Joseph Smith-100770 and Mary Fones-156, or the brother of Joseph Smith-100802. Mary would have been 65 at the time of his birth and that seems unlikely.
