Thank you Julie. Appreciated you answering my query Lauraine
Thank you for the information on Alexander Box but would like to find who his parents were. I have a Charles Box b 1797 in Himley Staffordshire who married Ann Day. Charles Box parents were William Box and Sarah. Mitchall. Two of their children Hannah Box b 1832 m Benjamin Hickman b 1830 and John Box b 1830 m Sarah Hickman b 1834 all from Staffordshire. Best Regards Stuart

Hi, Julie. I note that you have recently entered Charles Cullen Fitches. Are you likely to add his father, William in the near future? I have no Australian sources to hand so cannot do it myself but I have him in England. Once William has a profile I can attach Olaudah Equiano to the tree which I have been unable to do so far. Hi Julie,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Julie,

Me again. I was looking at your tag, and I'd like to suggest that you change it so that you have at least one tag for each surname you are interested to research. One tag for Wells, another for Adamson etc. By doing that, you can then click on it and any other surname tags you add and you'll be taken to a page where you'll see other genealogists who are also following those surnames and locations.

Furthermore, any activity associated with those surname tags will be reported in your daily activity list.

Kind regards, Ludwig

Hi Julie,

A warm welcome to the WikiTree family! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used and it is FREE. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

We’re really glad you’re here. More importantly, have fun growing your family tree and connecting to persons with the same interest.

Ludwig :)
