Joseph Smith[1][2] was born on June 10, 1643, in Watertown, MIddlesex, Massachusetts[3]. He was the son of Thomas and Mary (Knapp) Smith. Joseph married Hannah Tidd of Woburn, on December 1, 1674, in Watertown[4]. They had 5 children[5]: Joseph, John, Daniel, Hannah, and Rebecca. All 5 of the children were baptized on December 4, 1687, in Watertown[6]. The births of Joseph, John and Daniel were all recorded, but the only record for Hannah and Rebecca is their baptism, making it impossible to determine their actual age. Joseph passed away on June 4, 1712, in Watertown[7].
