I was born in Salem, Missouri, but raised in the small town of Lesterville. Lesterville is at the forks of the beautiful Black River in Reynolds County. I was an only child so I filled my time with books, horses, and playing in the woods and the river. I attended college on volleyball scholarships at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri and then went on to Ole Miss. Upon graduating, I was hired at Three Rivers Community College. I was a very successful volleyball coach, but not so good at basketball. After leaving Three Rivers I went back to school and was working on a Masters in Guidance and counseling when I became pregnant with my son, Josh. Josh is my only child and such a joy to be around! Over the years I have worked as a bartender & manager in various places but never be returned to teaching and coaching. I had a stroke in October 2010. I was very lucky to survive! I have been disabled since then. Geneology is my new passion! I have had fairly good luck finding my maternal family. Those surnames include Counts, Hudson, & Blythe. My father's side is mostly the dreaded "Smith", Brewer, & Berryman. I have a scrapbook with some nice photos of Hudsons, Blythes, Bowdens and Waters that came from my Mom. I am very willing to share my photos as well as any information I might have. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or information to share! Donna Mae

We have a few things in common I also had a small stroke last May I have been to Reynolds County three time and have many phots My cousin Brock Counts took me out in the back woods to Logan Creek. The area reminded me of Ireland where my Mooney gg grandfather came from all side hill and rocks. Very hard place to grow potatoes 😛 I have a cousin living in Shannon county Judy Mooney Heller. Her husband is a judge there. The Hellers live on Blair creek on the old farm

I love when DNA confirms the tree.
How are you? I'm David a WikiTree Mentor. Thanks for adding profiles to WikiTree. There are reasons behind the eighth point in our Honor Code: "We cite sources. Without sources we can't objectively resolve conflicting information." A source provides a way to find out more about the person. Showing sources reduces confusion and duplicates.
Here is what our Sources help page says. It has lots of ideas: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources
The Sources Style Guide shows how to enter sources in the biography.
And I'm here to help too, just ask!
Thank you, David ~ WikiTree Mentor

I've learned a lot from these challenges on how to improve my own profiles... and I get to help make the shared family tree better. Everyone wins! :)
