Mathilde Oxley Whitford (nee Smith) died April 8th 1996 at her home. She was 90 years of age. Born in Parrsboro, she was the daughter of the late Harley T. and Ethel Smith (nee Oxley). Rev John Scott was officiating the burial at Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. [3]
She attended Mount Allison Ladies College; was a graduate of McDonald College, Montreal, and graduated in home economics from Acadia University.
