Walter Conrad Smith I’m on all the listed below
MyHeritage Signed up May 22, 2017 Walter Smith Walter Conrad Smith Tree Name: WCSmith47
Family Search Signed up 14 years ago My ID: L6MF-857 Set up your account and input yourself, parents, grandparents as far as you can. If they are still alive – the function will hide their information. You can look up my ID and “click” for tree. From there you can follow the tree in any direction. I use this a first look to see if a connection.
MyFTDNA (FamilyTree DNA) Here they offer testing for Y-DNA & mtDNA. I started testing with the low cost but still affective test Y-DNA12 that gives STR (Short Term Repeats) that they compare with Smiths. From there I took the next jump into Y-DNA 111 (STR). I did a couple of SNP packs to flush out more detail. And finally, they came out with a very large testing of the “Big Y-700”. Depending on circumstances, go for the Big Y-700 (It comes up on Sale Occasionally). It’s worth the “jump right in” feeling and excitement. My kit number is 614858
Smith Official DNA And One Name Study Project Smith Official DNA At FamilyTreeDNA It’s the opening to input a tree and search names in a extensive “Site Menu” that help you find a family name that might have already been tested. Pretty easy to use and a great help in finding leads. The testing would be another step and that add to a new dimension. I’ve taken an mt-DNA test recently. I’m in there a DNA Group R-M-269-7. R-FT19742, , R-CTS2509 & mtDNA T2b23. I've a list of 1,200,000 SNP's in RSID format. Additional there are 828 STR's listed for me.
23andMe My daughter asked me to take this test because she was engaged with her boyfriend who was Ashkenazi , she has that on her side and my maternal grandfather is also the same. It has a “DNA Relatives” function that really help fill out information. I’ve results data covering 500,000 lines. I’m in there as Walter Smith (Sitting behind a desk).
WikiTree It’s pretty easy to use. I primarily look for relatives – distant that have taken DNA test a have submitted them to GedMatch / GenisisGedMatch number and have shared that on their page. My WikiTree ID code for that is “Smith-120963” I get a weekly Email showing people looking for connections or data. I use FamilySearch to see if their person is related to me.
Ancestry Ancestry offers DNA at a very reasonable price and you get a lot of “DNA Data”. It’s detailing SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) to about 800,000. You can put a copy into GedMatch and add another “Free” resource to your search. In ancestry I’m in again as “Walter Smith” sitting behind a desk with the same jacket on – oh dear I’ve got to update my wardrobe. The family tree is extensive. Always double checking data and using the “green leaf” to expand it.
Geni I seldom go on this site but my daughter’s aunt uses it. I get alerts that something new has been added.
Have you taken a DNA test? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

I see that your Magna Carta trail extends through the Plumpton line, which I also have. I had been working with the Charles Barnes of Long Island gateway going to the Stapleton line back which intersects with Plumpton so eventually I will be exploring this connection back to de Ros. My ancestry is from New England, but as it often is, gateway ancestry intersects in England tying multiple regions in the US.

I'm not harassing Walter. He has intentionally published misleading and fabricated information that has muddled this discussion. Despite the hard proof that I have provided to both him and you, he persists.
Your Mauldin line descends from the Smiths of Gould Hill in Hanover County, Virginia. I've previously provided you the link to the book titled "Virginia Migrations - Hanover County" by Eugenia G. Glazebrook, Preston G. Glazebrook that clearly shows the information that Linda G. Cheek published in her book "Ancestors and Descendants of Smiths" is, at best, errant.

I'm not the bad guy in all of this. I'm working to correct the online trees that have been muddled by bad information that was published in books over 50 years ago and somehow I end up being the villan. Unreal. Walter just continues to add to the mess by plastering nonsensical posts around the online message boards and genealogy sites.
I'm not the one trying to "choose your ancestors", as Brooke Smith stated it.
And yet, somehow, yours and Walter's yDNA lines are still incorrectly linked on this site.

If he is wrong, it should be easy to prove. Conversely if he is correct, then we stand to all learn a lot. Just my opinion. Paul G. Smith
You recently posted on G2G that you have information you can add to Mary (Isham) Randolph. Please make sure to respond to the G2G questions with the sources you have and the information you want to add. If you were merely posting about your relationship, that can be done on your own profile using a relationship "sticker" https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Relationship_Stickers
While I appreciate any help from other geneologists, I did undo the changes for my adoptive grandfather, as Elmer Sandhaus is not his biological father, but his step/adoptive. I'm also unsure why you created duplicate profiles for his mother and her parents.

You asked for my GedMatch number I believe it is Cordwell-209. I have followed your family tree (Smith side) and do not see any conection with my Smiths. Regards John
