Biography
Mathew Smith was a son of Robert Smith/Smyth of Blackland, Wiltshire.[1]
Mathew was recorded in the will of his father "Robert Smyth of Blacklande in the County of Wiltes Gent", the will dated 22 Sep 1647 and proved 30 Nov 1647.[1]
Research Notes
There is an entry for a Mathew Smith son of Mr Robert Smith, dated 21 Jan 1629/1630 in the Bishop's Transcripts for the parish of Blackland.[2] It appears to be a burial.
