On April 6, 1921, Amelia Belle Lazear Smith (32) passed away, at 7 p.m., after an operation at St. Andrew's Hospital, in North Dakota[2].

In 1930, Mae Smith (14 - name as recorded on the census and resided as a ward) lived in Goshen, Orange County, New York, with her uncle Wilmarth John Tuthill Sr. (38 - listed as head of household and worked as a general farmer), her aunt Ida May Lazear Tuthill (39 - name spelled Mae L. on the census), her first cousin Katherine Tuthill (12), her fist cousin Wilmarth John Tuthill Jr. (5) and her brother Robert (16 - listed as a ward)[3].

Mae Lazear Smith Schoonover (age 86), passed away on November 26, 2002[4][5].
