Occupation at date of marriage was "soldier" possibly 8th regiment, NJ Infantry, joined as Private, rose to First Lieutenant. Middle initial S. 1880 census lists Ira as a wheelwright, sons Myron and Albert also practiced the trade per 1900 census.
