Sarah was a Friend (Quaker)

Sarah was born in 1721. She is the daughter of Benjamin Smith and Sarah Shotwell. ^[1]

She married John Laing III on 18 April 1741.^[2] Their children were:

Isaac Laing b. 1742- 1779

John Laing 1744–

Thomas Laing 1759–1827

Note

This Sarah did NOT marry William Webster. Her niece Sarah Smith did. Sarah Smith Webster was a daughter of her brother, Abraham Smith and his wife Phebe Jackson.
