Biography

Born in Medford, Oregon to Wilbur Jack Whif Smith and Margaret Lou Ella Mee Smith. Having found much information on my maternal linage, I have not been so lucky finding information on my paternal linage (Smith and Kilgore). I was informed once that my paternal great/great grandfather Kilgore was a surveyor with George Washington in the early 1700's, but have not been able to confirm that nor trace either Smith or Kilgore past the early 1800's in reportedly Ohio and Missouri.

The Smith family farm was in Rock Creek, Idaho per family report.

Thanks Dana for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Based on your comments the US History may fit your research focus. Add the tag United_States_History to your profile If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.
