Married Agnes Adamson around 5 December 1825 in Tranent, East Lothian, Scotland[1]. Freereg entry says he married Agnes Adamson (resident of St Clements Wells) 05 Dec 1825 at Tranent Parish Church, Tranent[2] The groom was living at Hopefield Haddington Parish, occupation ploughman. Agnes' father was John Adamson (deceased). Notes on transcription say the marriage was "Proclaimed 27 Nov and 4 Dec 1825. daughter of the deceased John Adamson Labourer in Haddington".
When his son Robert was born 31 Mar 1831 Charles was living in Northrigg Moreham[3]
