Biography

Ethel was born in 1879, the daughter of Robert Middleton Smith and Henrietta Margaret Theodosia Charlotte Beale.^[1][2]

On the 26th January 1910, she married George Champagne L'Estrange Norris in Rathmines, county Dublin.^[3]

When the 1911 census was enumerated, Ethel and George were living in Kilrush, county Limerick.^[4]

George and Ethel emigrated to Massachusetts in September, 1912.^[5]

Ethel’s and George's household was enumerated in the U.S. census of 1920 as follows:
