Cumberland Argus and Fruitgrowers Advocate (Parramatta, NSW : 1888 - 1950), Saturday 22 May 1897. ^[1] An Afflicted Family. Miss Laura Smith, daughter of Mr. Thomas Smith, of Villiers-street, Parramatta N., died at her father's residence on Thursday night, aged 33, from congestion of the lungs. Dr. Waugh and Dr. Bowman were in attendance and did all that human science could do in the circumstances. A particularly sad feature in that the deceased young lady's sister, Mrs. Drury, was on the previous day removed to the Parramatta District Hospital suffering from the same disease, and is now in a precarious condition.
