He was married to Martha Hammod In about 1833 They possibly had14 children between 1834 and 1857 He passed away about 1884 in Crawford County, Pennsylvania having lived along life of 83 years He is buried in the Smith Cemetery in Blooming Valley, Crawford County, Pennsylvania
