Biography

Susannah was born about 1823 at Lambeth, Surrey , the daughter of Hammond Smith and Mary Newman (Bingham) Smith. She was baptised on 27 July 1823 at Lambeth, Surrey.[1]
In 1851, Susannah, aged 27, was at home at Hammond Terrace, Clapham, Surrey with her parents, yonger brother John (12) and a servant, Charlotte Purkiss.[2]
At the time of the 1871 census, she was staying with her brother-in-law, Henry Watson and his seven children in Camberwell Surrey.[3]
In 1891, aged 67 and single, she was staying with her brother Frederick, his wife and two children at Lambeth.[4]
She passed away on 7 November 1902 and was buried at Norwood Cemetery, Lambeth, in the family grave (see attached image).[5][6]
