Biography
Robert Rennie Smith was born on 3rd December 1914 in Victoria, Australia. He was the only son of Robert Smith, later a decorated veteran of the First World War, and Eliza Clemenger.[1]
He married Gwen Morton in 1940 in Victoria.[2]

Robert served in the 2nd Australian Imperial Force during the Second World War; enlisted 14th June 1940, discharged 19th November 1945.[3] He was an officer in the 2/2nd Australian Heavy Anti Aircraft Regiment, based in South East Queensland in the defence of the City of Brisbane.
