She passed away in 1905 after the birth of her son Theodore.
Mrs McKay was formerly Miss Lizzie Smith, and she was born in Argyle, ILL, on Feb 13, 1870 and around that place she spent her early life. When but a day of her 21st birthday anniversary she was joined in marriage to Peter McKay, then struggling for success in this county, and whose acquaintance she made while he was still a resident Illinois. They came to Mr McKay's farm in this county immediately after the marriage.
Immediate relatives to mourn her loss are the grief-stricken husband and three small children, the youngest being but a few days old.
