Biography

Phoebe Priscilla Smith was born on 10 March 1861 in Ministerworth, Gloucestershire, England^[1].

Two months after her birth, Phoebe was registered in the 1861 Census with her mother, older brother and three older sisters with her father away from the home at the time. On the Census record her family is listed on the previous page to her record ^[2], then in the 1871 Census she is 10 years old with her older sister Elizabeth working elsewhere, and now with two younger sisters and a little brother^[3], the daughter of William Smith and Sarah Grit, and the sister of Elizabeth Smith, Charles Smith, Sarah Ann Smith, Mary (Smith) Hathaway, Fanny (Smith) Weaving, William Smith and Jane Smith,

She married Henry Watterson on 18 May 1879 at Kirk German, Isle Of Man ^[4][5]and their children were Frances Eleanor Watterson, Catherine Sarah Watterson, (Margaret) Emma Watterson, W Douglas Watterson, (Harriet) Blanche (Dolly) Watterson, Phoebe May Watterson, Robert William Stanley Wattersonand Doris Victoria Watterson ^[6][7][8][9].

Phoebe died before, and was buried on, 16 September 1937 at Braddan, Isle of Man ^[10].
