Biography
William Silas Smiths birth was registered in the December quarter of 1873 in Worcester, England. His mother's maiden surname was recorded as Moulton.[1]
In the 1881 England census, WIlliam SIlas Smith is 7, living with his parents Devereaux Silas Smith, 38, a Timber Merchant, and Mary Ann, 37. His siblings are also with them: Elizabeth, 9, Devereaux Edward, 5, Florence, 4, Corbett, 3, and Cornelius, 1. There is also a servant, William White, 25. [2]
