Biography
Robert was born in 1855. He was the son of George Smith. and Elizabeth Greaves Henderson.
He was married to Emeline Elizabeth "Emma" Smith, daughter of Napoleon B. Smith and Mary Dean Fletcher. Napoleon was a first cousin of George Washington Smith, making Robert Henderson and his wife Emma first cousins once removed. [1]
Mary Dean Fletcher remarried after Napoleon's death in the War Between the States. She is buried in Evergreen Cemetery as "Mary Fletcher Spain."
He passed away in 1937. [2]
