From Findagrave: She was the daughter of Mathew Castle Pinckney Smith and Mary Ann Blackman Smith. Her father is buried in Old Shady Grove Cemetery in Houston County. She was a member of Bois d'Arc Baptist Church, and was a retired school teacher. She shares a stone with her husband, George Wylie Pinkerton, who she married about 1930. She was survived by one son, George Allen Pinkerton of Montalba and a sister, Mildred Tatum of Grapeland. Her obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Monday, 12 August 1985.
