Annie was born about 1851[1] in Edinburgh, Scotland. [2]

On 22 May 1874 at Dundee, Forfarshire, Scotland she married Thomas Dodds.[3]

With her husband, she emigrated on the Invercargill, sailing from Clyde, Scotland on 1 Jul 1875 and arriving at Otago, New Zealand on 30 Sep 1875.[4]

She passed away in 20 Sep 1922 age 71 at Dunedin and was buried two days later at Northern Cemetery, Dunedin.[2]

Research Notes

Her name is given as Ann Dodds in the marriage record and all New Zealand records I've found so far. No source seen for "Annie" or "Lauder" used as middle name. (It was her mother's maiden name as per the marriage transcript though). McNabb-412 11:10, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

In electoral rolls in New Zealand she is recorded as "Ann Smith Dodds".
