I lived the first 18 years of my life between Little Beaver Creek and Big Beaver Creek in Southwestern Oklahoma. I attended a very small rural school, having 14 students in my graduating class. As my husband says, my world was very small.
I found my love for family by having 21 first cousins and 18 aunts and uncles on my dad's side. We gathered at least once a year while I was growing up and I realize now how these family members attempted to stay in touch and support each other. Genealogy came to my attention while I was living in Missouri and Kansas in the early 1980s.
I am interested in lineage organizations and the ways that they bring family history and our nation's history to those interested in such.
