Birth and Parents

Eliza (Smith) Salmond was born in Massachusetts.

Eliza, the third daughter and seventh of nine children of Albert Smith and Anna Lenthal Eells was born on 15 March 1801 at Hanover, Massachusetts.[1]

Marriage and Children

Eliza married Samuel Salmond, the son of Robert and Mary (Baldwin) Salmond on 26 July 1826 (Baldwin says 6 January 1826) at Hanover, Massachusetts.[2]They had four children born at Hanover:

  1. Robert Salmond (b. 1827; d. 19 Oct 1845, Hanover, MA)[3]
  2. Mary Salmond (b. 1832; d. 31 Jul 1864, Hanover, MA)[4]m. 14 Dec 1858 at Hanover, MA, Edmond Quincy Sylvester (1827-1898)[5]
  3. Eliza Smith Salmond (b. 13 May 1844; d. 1927)[6]m. 5 Feb 1867 at Hanover, MA, Edmond Quincy Sylvester (1827-1898)[7]
  4. Samuel Salmond (b. 28 May 1850; d. 14 Aug 1850, Hanover, MA)[8]

Death and Burial

Elizabeth "Eliza" (Smith) Salmond died on 4 January 1891 in her 90th year at Hanover.[9]
