Biography

John was born in 1864. He was the son of Waddy Smith. He passed away in 1955.

John Henry Smith, 91, of 535 21st Ave. N.W., died Tuesday at his residence. He was born in Marion, Ind., and went to Brooks in 1910. He ranched there until moving to Sundre in 1937. He came to Calgary in 1940. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Vanderburgh, Calgary; two grandchildren and a great grandchild. Excerpt from The Calgary Herald, December 1, 1955, page 34
