Sally Jackson, born on 27 Sept. 1788 in Poland, ME, married Hatevil H. Smith on 5 May 1808 in Minot, ME. He was born ca. 1787 in ME, and they were living in Minot, Cumberland Co., ME, in the 1820, 1830, and 1840 federal censuses, and in Auburn, Cumberland Co., ME, in the 1850 federal census, where he was a farmer.
The Nathan Hale Cemetery records indicate that Hatevil died on 28 May 1866 at age 78 years, 8 months. He is buried at Evergreen Cemetery with his wife Sally and their son Daniel.
