Son of Jesse Smith and Mary Carriger.

Husband of Mary Ann Burns.

Father of Emily Elizabeth Smith Long, Carriger Michael Smith and John Smith.

William F. Smith--died 8 Oct 1892, aged 70, at his home near Oxford. Born in TN, he moved to IL at age 10, settling in Georgetown, Vermilion, IL with his father, the late Jesse Smith, a Vermilion County pioneer. W.F has lived in Greene Twp for 25 years and leaves his wife, a son and daughter to mourn his passing. Also surviving are three brothers and a sister. His brother, George W. Smith, and his sister, Mrs. Gid[eon] Baum, are residents of Vermilion County, IL.
