Cicely Smith was baptised on 9 July 1742 in Welbury, York, England. She was the daughter of James Smith. [1]
Cicely Smith married John Stonehouse on 26 January 1773 in Welbury, York, England. [2] "John Stonehouse, yeoman of the parish of Stranton, and Cicely Smith spinster in this parish by publication 26 January 1773 in the presence of Thomas Smith and James Stonehouse".
Erected in memory of JOHN STONEHOUSE of Foggyfurrs who died the 17th day December 1828 aged 80 years. Also CICELY wife of the above died the 19th August 1805 aged 63 years. Also JANE second wife of the above died the 24th of December 1840 aged 89 years.[4]
