Gilbert Smith, son of Abner Smith and Deliverance Cudworth, was born about 1770.^{[citation needed]}

He married Cynthia Hathaway on 30 April 1795 at Freetown, Bristol County, Massachusetts.^[1]

Gilbert died on 30 Dec. 1813 in Buffalo, New York.^{[citation needed]}
