John SMITH migrated from Virginia to Greene County, OH before 31 January 1823 when he was joined in matrimony to Margaret BURRELL.

To this union, 12 children where born, all of whom lived to adulthood except a son, Henry, who died young. Henry was born 12 Sep 1829 and died between 1830-1840.
