Charles was born in 1829, to mother Frances Smith nee Green
He was known as Charles Henry Green (his mother's maiden name was Green)
Birth: Charles was born on 8 March 1829 and baptised on 5 April 1829; the register of St Philip's Church of England, Sydney recorded his name Charles, date of birth 8 March 1829 and his mother's name Frances Smith of Sydney.[1][2]
Marriage: In 1851 Charles married Sarah "Hoffman" (her name has also been recorded as Heffernan and Haveron) at Davys Creek, registered at Bathurst, New South Wales.[3] His mother Frances and stepfather Joseph Sewell were witnesses to the marriage.
They had a daughter:
Death: Charles died on 15 September 1853 at Campbells River. (Primary source needed)
There is no record of Charles's father's name in his baptism record, and it appears that Frances's husband John aka Richard Smith had left the colony by that time. It has been suggested that her second husband Joseph Sewell was his father, however Joseph was at Bathurst at this time, so it seems unlikely. Thus Charles's father is unknown.
After Charles died on 15 Sep 1853, and after his mother Frances died on 13 Feb 1854, his stepfather Joseph Sewell married his widow, Sarah.
