Charlotte May Smith was the daughter if Alvin Smith and
Keziah Harmon. A New York state census made in 1855 places the family in Cuba, Allegany, New York.[1]
Charlotte married Franklin Ingalls. The couple with their children moved to Iowa before 1870 and the 1880 US Census places them in Grundy, Iowa, United States.[2] The 1890 Census records that the couple was living in linton & Rock Creek Townships, Miner, South Dakota, United States.[3]
Charlotte and her husband Frank are listed in as parents of the groom in the marriage record of their son Harland to Lavilla Hammond in 1881.[4]
