Marjorie was born in 1905. She is the daughter of Frederick Smith and Mary Kirkwood. [1]

She married Clarence Henry Campbell in 27 April 1927[2]

EVENING POST, VOLUME CXIII, ISSUE 126, 1 JUNE 1927, PAGE 13 The marriage took place at St. John's Church, Dannevirke, of Marjorie Frances Mary youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs. F. W. Smith, of Dannevirke, and Clarence Henry, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W, H. Campbell, of Wellington. The Rev. G. B. Stephenson officiated, and the music was supplied by Mrs. McKinnon. The service was choral, as the bride had been a member of the choir, and there was a guard of honour formed by Girl Guides, as she was also a lieutenant of St. John's Company. The bride's charming gown was of white satin beaute, trimmed with silver lace, an embroidered panel falling from the shoulders, while the veil, fastened with orange blossoms, was arranged to form a train. Her bouquot was of white chrysanthemums and pink roses. Miss Hazel Mexted, chief bridesmaid, was in blue taffeta, her companion, Miss Alice Meakin, being in pink taffeta, both frocks having transparent hems of tulle, while their head dresses were bandeaux of swathed silver, and they carried dainty posies of flowers to match their frocks. Two little flower girls, Dorothy Campbell, and Phyllis Svensen, were dressed alike in lemon coloured crepe de chine, with floral wreaths and posies en suite. Messrs. O. Devlin and Alan East were best man and groomsman respectively. As the bride and bridegroom left the church, Captain Miller, of the Girl Guides, presented her with a charming floral horseshoe, with the good wishes of the company. The reception took place at the Foresters' Hall, Mrs. Smith receiving the guests in a frock of cyclamen crepe de chine, and a black hat. Mrs. Campbell (mother of the bridegroom) was in mulberry repp, with a hat to match, and both ladies carried bouquets to tone with their frocks. The bride wore a travelling costume of duchess blue, with a hat of the same, and handsome furs, leaving with the bridegroom for the South by motor-car. Presentations were made by the Guides and the Sunday School Choir. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Campbell will make their home at Dannevirke.

Marjorie died in 6 July 1989[3]

Clarence died 21 July 1989[4]

They are buried together in the Mount View Cemetery in Marton[1][2]
