Biography
Archibald Smith was born on April 27, 1805, in Hawick, Roxburghshire, Scotland. He was the son of William James Smith (abt.1780-1859) and Nancy (Aitchison) Smith (abt.1773-abt.1851). [1]

Archibald married twice:
- Mary (Day) Smith (1813-1852) circa 1840. Mary passed July 23, 1852
- Jane (Ora) Smith (abt.1810-1890) circa 1861. No known children from this union. [2]

I agree with Sheila that these are not the same Archibald (Archie) Smith's. From my family history the picture Circa 1864 is our Archibald Smith father of Henry Day and our family line.
Thank you for your suggestion of merging Archie Smiths. I do not feel that these are the same person. When I looked at the profile manager, Ronald Sarens' tree. I noticed a different family from my Archibald Smith. I could be wrong but at this time I don't want to merge these file.
