DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Obadiah by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Obadiah:
I unattached his grandmother erroneously appearing as his wife. There's currently an uncle Obadiah (Smith-5585) with the same "death" date in Chesterfield as this one.
I was doing some date estimating on this family tree in order to work on matches, and I noticed that this birthdate is not quite in line with the rest of the tree. His paternal grandparents have a marriage date of 1703, which would mean that his father was born after 1703. So his birth date of 1706 doesn't fit.
