born in new hampshire parrents george henry smith and lorrane ellen corliss. my cousin babara introduced me to genealogy, gave me a book on corliss history, going back to 1600's.

started me on my path to find past family. in this age of technology information available on so many subjects. with this help and families seaching for roots helped me to find and connect to my past.

started with learning about my grandfathers family and then looked into smith's. happy to find pilgrim connections with hopkins, doty, and cooke's families.

im still in beginners stage even after a year researching. enjoy the detective work and rewards of finding famlies.

Thanks for the info on Squire Gifford's son Christopher? Are you a descendent of Squire's? If so, I have info on his house in New Bedford, which is on their historical walking tour and still stands today.

Thanks for sharing that Randle link Sharon, very useful. Yes, there probably is a connection there. I have a lot of work to do researching that line.
