Biography

Gameliel is the son of Thomas Smith Jr.. [1]

He was born in Truro, Barnstable, Massachusetts in 1715. The birth record shows his mother as Joanna, which is also the name of Thomas Smith, Jr.'s spouse. As well The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Volume 26, p. 190, [2]shows him as the son of Thomas, Jr., who in turn is described as almost certainly a descendant of Ralph Smith, whose profile is being managed by the Puritan Great Migration Project.

Gameliel married Hannah Harding on 28 May, 1741.[3]

page 38: "Gameliel Smith, son of Thomas Smith and Joanna Mayo, married Hannah Harding of May 28th, 1741, with issue: David, Gameliel and Nathaniel. Gameliel married second time to Mary Slew, on the 18th, May 1749, with issue: Hannah, born June 10th, 1750; Assa, born November 25th, 1752."

Gamaliel was born in 1716. He passed away in 1787.
